I was pocking around the Slime concept forum and found the hairy slime concept. I think it is a bit too complicated and wouldn't fit in the game but it did give me inspiration for a slime.

The Wooly Slime :

Occurrance : Somewhere cold
Default value of plort : 40 or 50
Diet : Veggies
Favorite food : Thornip (a thorny turnip)
Aggressive : No

Slimeology : These slimes are found in the snowy regions of [somewhere cold]. They are packed in small groups of 2 or 3 and are generally hard to reach since they stay up on ledges unobtanable without a jetpack. They tend to snug together cozily to keep warm. However beware for they might fall and harm any unfortunate rancher standing below it, even with their thick fur.

Rancher Risks : Being adapted to the harsh cold of [somewhere cold], Wooly Slimes are prone to dissapear if put in a warm environment such as the ranch. Thus any rancher wanting Wooly Slimes will have to upgrade their corral with a Cooler (which is quite expenssive) to keep them in the cold (or Solar Shield if no Cooler upgrade). Additionally, they may harm ranchers if they fall on them.

Plortonomics : Wooly Plorts are well sort out back on Earth due to it's extreme softness and warmth. They are usually use to make clothes and beddings but scientists also use them to make heat barriers and it is even said that the military are using it for survival equipment.

I do have a concept art but unable to scan it atm. It will probably come shortly.

More like a ball of fur than a ball of wool. Wooly slime is wooly in the way that a wooly mammoth or a wooly rhino is wooly.
