Rainy Days Update

Postby PenguinKnight » Mon May 18, 2020 6:40 am

This update will add various weather events that happen across the far far range. Each area will have different than another area. Weather events might act differently in other areas. For example, rain in the moss blanket would be frequent than the dry reef.

Sunny: Sunny weather is a perfect day to be out and about. Slimes hop happily up and down on these days. There is nothing unique about sunny days, except they are the most common weather event.

Cloudy: Cloudy weather is good for nice walk through the dry reef. Slimes are fine in cloudy weather and they do what slimes do. Be careful in the indigo quarry however, because it sometimes gets foggy there and it is hard to see.

Rain: Rainy weather is great for puddle slimes! Little puddles will be scattered through the area which slimes love to bounce in. Puddle slimes can spawn naturally and stay alive out of water. During this event, a new slime comes down from the clouds and it’s called the cumulus slime. These slimes will float about going where the wind takes them. When the rain goes away, they Go away too. During rain tarr will take a different form and they will become Hydro Tarr. These tarr can only spawn when it is raining and a puddle slime has to eat another plort. It will rain much harder and more frequently in the moss blanket. Rain in the glass desert is an extremely rare event.

Thunderstorms: Thunderstorms may only last a few minutes, but they can be scary! As damaging thunder, hard rain, and fast winds blow, slimes try to find cover. Item will be thrown into the air and even slimes too. Almost all slimes will get scared because of thunderstorms except one. During thunderstorms, cumulus slimes will change to their thunder form and become enraged. They will move quick striking lightning bolts to the ground, but once the storm is over they will go back to being calm as a cucumber ;)

Windy: When the wind is blowing it is hard to stand still. During this event, slimes and items will be pushed around in the direction of the wind. You the player may even be blown too. Very rarely during this event, dervish slimes can spawn naturally in that area. In the glass desert windy days could possibly turn into sand storms.

Cumulus slimes: these slimes are found in the far far range when it is raining. They are made up of 50% water which is more than the average slime. They spend most of there time in clouds, but they come down when the conditions are just right. There diet is mainly water particles in the air. When it is storming or if it is aggravated by a tarr or an explosion they will turn into their thunder form. In this form they will move quickly striking lighting bolts at the ground. In this from they may even attack tarr and other slimes. When they calm down they go back to normal. When the rain stops they must go and return to the clouds.
Some of this slimes risks is its lighting bolt which can harm the player if too close. They may attack slimes at your ranch if not kept properly. They find it fun to carry items and other slimes into the clouds
If you want to keep one at your ranch, then you must make a mister and place it at a tech spot.
This slime sounds plortnomics on earth is very useful. Their plorts can be used to create soaps and shampoos. The plorts can be used to create the worlds finest drinking water

Hydro Tarr: These tarr are rain proof and can spawn when it is raining and a puddle slime eats another plort. These tarr are not totally water proof though, and they may take a few shots of water to defeat them

The Mister: The mister can be created with 10 cumulus plorts, 10 indigonium, 7 spiral steam, and 10 glass shards. The mister is used to keep cumulus slimes at your ranch, but not just cumulus slimes like it because other slimes just love to jump through the mist.
