New slime types: Icicle Slimes and Saltjelly Slimes

New Area: Mineral Glacier

New corral upgrades: Freezer Unit and Salt Geyser

Slimeology: Icicle Slimes
Occurrence: Mineral Glacier
Diet: Veggies
Favorite: Blue-ice Lettuce
Plort: Icicle plort
Default Plort Value: 60 Newbucks
Favorite Toy: Silver Bell Snowman
Slime Type: Harmful

Icicle Slimes are an unusual, uncommon slime that exists only in the coldest regions of the Far, Far Range. They are thought to be distant ancestors of the Rock Slimes, but it is also surmised by slime scientists that they might share an ancient ancestral link to Puddle Slimes. Regardless of their origin, Icicle Slimes are only ever found in climates where ice and snow are abundant, or kept in specialized slime corrals with super low-temperature air-conditioning upgrades equipped. Though peaceful when playing in the calm snow, Icicle Slimes are downright ornery when misplaced into a warmer biome, or splashed with vacpack-temperature water!

Rancher Risks:
Like their Rock Slime counterparts, the Icicle Slime have a piercing crown of ice growing out from the top of their head. And similarly to a Rock Slime, they are harmful when coming into physical contact with hapless ranchers. Worse still, the icicle slime routinely creates a spike of ice that is launched from their body at projectile speeds. Thought to be a means of expelling excess ice, these sharp ice spikes are ultra-cold but can be walked upon if splashed with water. Icicle slimes can only be ranched safely by ranchers that have access to the Freezer Unit corral upgrade. Trust us when we say the icicle slimes hate being exposed to temperatures that is warm enough to melt ice!

Plortonimics:
Icicle plorts have the uncanny ability to retain its cool temperature ten times longer than regular ice. As such, due to this ability to resist melting, it has been a plort mostly used for the production of cold treats, or creating refrigeration appliances that stores said cold treats.

Tips:
•Without the Freezer Unit corral upgrade, Icicle Slimes can only be safely ranched in the Mineral Glacier expansion.
•Embedded icicle spikes can be used as temporary platforms to reach higher vantage points, provided you brought water to make them safe to stand on.
•Icicle Slimes are the only slimes that become agitated when doused with water. Expect an ice spike to be sent your way when you aggravate icicle slimes.

Slimeology: Saltjelly Slimes
Occurrence: Mineral Glacier, but only in salt-geyser pools
Diet: Saltwater
Favorite: None
Plort: Saltjelly plort
Default value: 55 Newbucks
Favorite toy: Octo Buddy
Slime Type: Harmful

Saltjelly slimes are found only in the under-caverns of the Mineral Glacier, where pockets of volcanic vents cut through the ice. It is believed enormous salt deposits connect to these volcanic vents, from which the Saltjelly Slimes happily feed from. Archeologists discovered various fossils of ancient Saltjelly Slimes around these salty vents, theorizing that Saltjelly Slimes were once more abundant than pink slimes from far back in the Far, Far Range's distant history.

Saltjelly slimes need salt water to survive and will quickly evaporate if left on any other surface for too long.

Rancher Risks:
Saltjelly Slimes are surrounded by stinging tentacles, once thought to be a method of hunting prey that thrived in the salty water it lives in. However, further analysis indicates that its diet consists only of saltwater, while evolutionists suggests the stinging tentacles were once used to fend off prehistoric predators that hunted them! Thankfully, a splash of fresh water would make their stinging tentacles retract for a time.

However, in order to keep Saltjelly Slimes, a rancher would need to modify their ponds to have artificial salt geysers.

Plortonomics:
Saltjelly plorts contain exotic minerals with special properties that increases overall health. Due to the minerals solubility and ability to exfoliate the skin, saltjelly plorts are used in nearly all cosmetic and bathing products. We even expect the chlorine in all swimming pools to be quickly replaced by the exotic minerals contained within saltjelly plorts in the near future!

TIPS:
•Dousing saltjelly slimes with water will make them retract their stinging tentacles, similarly to how dousing fire slimes would remove their veil of flame.
•Puddle slimes and saltjelly slimes cannot inhabit the same pond, since the former slime requires freshwater to survive, while the latter slime requires saltwater to survive.

Slimepedia Entry: Mineral Glacier
The northern polar region of the Far, Far Range contains an arctic environment that is home to the most secluded of slimes. The glacier contains various traces of minerals that originate from the volcanic vents located beneath it. It is believed that the climate of Mineral Glacier may contain some of the oldest species of slime in all of the Far, Far Range.

Slimepedia Entry: Freezer Unit
A freezer unit will keep a corral in a chilly cold, preventing icicle slimes from getting warm and angered.

Slimepedia Entry: Salt Geyser
An upgrade for the pond. The mechanical salt geyser, designed to look like the real thing, will artificially salinate the pond, letting saltjelly slimes live comfortably in the water. Any puddle slimes still in the pond needs to be relocated!

Icicle slimes look like rock slimes and crystal slimes, but are more bright blue and have white tinted spikes!

And the saltjelly slimes VEEEEEEEERY much look like jellyfish. :3

Here's another idea then!

Slimeology: Acid Slimes
Occurrence: Mineral Glacier
Diet: Meat
Favorite: Arctic hen
Plort: Acid plort
Default Plort Value: 60 Newbucks
Favorite Toy: Pack of gum
Slime Type: Harmful

The acid produced from this slime alone is incredibly caustic, capable of dissolving any and nearly all types of solid materials into a soup after making prolonged contact. It is a high-temperature fluid that is naturally hot as it dissolves everything it touches, even the very air itself! Oddly enough, the acid secreted from the acid slimes is only super-heated when the slime itself is placed within chilly environments and is doused in water, leading people to believe the high-temperature acid helps prevent them from freezing into a slimecicle.

Rancher Risks:
Acid slimes are not to be touched! Their amorphous and gelatinous surface can cause severe burns if a rancher is not careful. Even so, they have a horrible habit of burning nearby slimes upon contacting them physically. Worse still, any items that touches acid slimes for too long end up vanishing into a puff of smoke! Including other slimes that are not acid slimes or their largo variants!! You'd have to be a crazy rancher to corral these slimes!!! And whatever you do, don't ever, ever, EVER, splash water on them. Their acid is very potent... but only in cold climates. But it's still very potent!

Plortonimics:
Acid plorts have many useful practical applications in various types of waste disposal. Garbage dumps would become a thing of the past as acid plorts would make all trash, hazardous materials, and unsafe chemicals, disappear!

Tips:
•When within the Mineral Glacier Biome or put inside a corral with the Freezer Unit, the acid slimes will activate their boiling acid when agitated or doused with water.
•Any items, be it chickens, fruit, vegetables, most toys or even other slimes that are not acid slimes or a largo variant, would eventually vanish as though they have been launched into the incinerator.
•Feeding acid slimes can be somewhat difficult, since any food that goes into the corral would dissolve if not eaten in time. It is recommended to have two or more farms or coops dedicated to feeding acid slimes.
•Ice blockades and ice blocks can be melted if an acid slime is place near them and doused with water.

Slimeology: Snowy Slimes
Occurence: Mineral Glacier
Diet: Fruit
Favorite: Icy Rasprose
Plort: Snowy plort
Default value: 60 Newbucks
Favorite toy: (Uhh... I don't know what to add here. Maybe I should put the snowman here and have the Icicle Slime entry have... I dunno... a hockey puck?)
Slime type: Docile

Snowy slimes are hard to spot since they often burrow themselves into the fluffy white blanket of tundra, camouflaged by the cap of snow on the top of their heads. However, if a rancher looks close enough, they will be able to see the telltale wiggle of a slime. These slimes have the unusual ability to condense the moisture in the air to create flakes of ice that aggregate into mats of snow, enabling them the ability to create hiding places wherever they may be found!

Rancher Risks:
Snowy slimes are able to generate a blanket of snow that slows a rancher's speed by half. However, snowy slimes are most comfortable when in a climate that is cold, so keeping a few corralled in a corral with a Freezer Unit upgrade is ideal. If a corral is not equipped with this upgrade, then expect these slimes to make their own cold environment using their snow-generating abilities! If left alone for long enough, they would transform a wide area into a winter wonderland! A splash of water can melt the snow to uncover any snowy slimes that are hiding.

Plortonimics:
Snowy plorts can be used as an alternative to celebrations using confetti. Since the snowy plorts can be molded into a plethora of different designs and shapes, the janitors would have less to sweep up after a big party!

Slimepedia Entry: Arctic Hen

"Its feathers was white as snow."

Arctic hens are a rare breed of hen hen that live in cold climates. Since said cold climates are normally found in the coldest regions of the Far, Far Range, there's only two places that these snow-white colored livestock are normally found in. Thankfully, the coops are equipped with automatic air conditioning systems the arctic hens can play with!

Slimepedia Entry: Blue-ice Lettuce

"Iceberg, dead ahead! ... Oh wait. It's just a head of lettuce."

A vegetable that normally grows in volcanic conditions that photosynthesize on the light produced from the phosphor slimes in the Mineral Glacier under-caverns. Despite how secluded the locations these vegetables grow in, they go great with sandwiches!

Slimepedia Entry: Icy Rasprose

"Not to be confused with a Bronx Cheer during the winter time. This berry is more rosy." (IDK)

A rare blue berry that grows in colder climates. It has the unique flavor of every sweet fruit that has ever existed, with the subtle aftertaste of roses. It is also a fruit that is said to be the symbol of longing.

These are ideas that are pretty rough. Quite frankly, I would love some new slimes that come from an arctic environment. Or even a type of slime that has an acid that is about as effective as an incinerator.
